This course is aimed at personnel responsible for the issuing and control of lifting equipment from a Rigging Loft onboard an offshore installation, or a shore based workplace. It aims to provide training in the appropriate rigging loft management systems and the in-use inspection requirements of lifting equipment.

This is a 1 day course which covers the elements listed below in the training content section. On completion of the course the candidate will have received a good basic introduction to Flexible hose assemblies enabling them to work safely with hydraulic hoses and associated connectors which are in use on most pieces of equipment, machinery and plant in every industrial sector.

This is aimed at personnel who have had previous training and experience in rigging and lifting operations. Delegates will complete the following tasks: 1) Obtain and position the lifting equipment and lifting accessories as detailed in the lifting plan 2) Loft, cross-haul and lower loads 3) Move loads where there are obstruction restricting the direct path of the load e.g. over, under or around pipework.
