BFPA Accumulator Safety Training Level 1
The aim of this course is to provide learners with a basic knowledge and understanding of the operation of hydro-pneumatic accumulators and basic practical applications including external visual inspection and pre-charge checks.

Practical Session:
- Collect information from accumulator manufacturer’s specifications and determine the information from manufacturer’s technical spec
- Safely isolate accumulator from connected circuit
- Identify unserviceable components / equipment
- Complete an external inspection of accumulator components
- Identify appropriate nitrogen gas bottle regulators, hoses and charging kits and correctly assemble
- Carry out accumulator pre-charge checks
Target Audience
This Training Programme has been developed to meet the needs of those involved in the use of Accumulators. It may also be of benefit to those embarking on Servicing, Maintenance and Management of Hydraulic Systems as well as Mechanical Apprentices, Technicians, Technical Representatives and Project Engineers.

Certification
Upon successful course completion, the delegate will receive a BFPA Certificate and Training Card.
Revalidation
Recommended 3 yearly refresher
