This is a 2 day BFPA accredited and certified course. Attendees will receive tuition in the many techniques and considerations essential for the production of a quality Flexible Hose Assembly and the correct installation methods. Many of these topics will have been referred to in the Foundation Course, and this skills-based course adds to that knowledge by demonstrating and practicing the skill set required to produce and install Flexible hose assemblies to recognised industrial standards.

This course is aimed at personnel responsible for the issuing and control of lifting equipment from a Rigging Loft onboard an offshore installation, or a shore based workplace. It aims to provide training in the appropriate rigging loft management systems and the in-use inspection requirements of lifting equipment.

This BFPA Accredited training programme has been developed to meet the needs of those involved in the service, maintenance and management of Fluid Power Systems as well as Mechanical Apprentices, Technical Representatives and Project Engineers. This course would also be beneficial to all operators of Fluid Power equipment.

ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads introduces the role and responsibilities of the person appointed to oversee, plan or manage lifts or moving loads operations. This 4-day course includes three classroom-based days, which involve theoretical lessons and exercises. Understanding of the theory and techniques covered within the initial three days will then be assessed in a written question and calculations paper, followed by the practical planning and performance of a lift on the final day.

The aim and objectives are to provide the delegate with knowledge of the rigging principles, general hazards and risks of rigging and lifting operations, an awareness of relevant legislation and regulation, and an opportunity to practice basic rigging operations following a lifting plan. Delegate performance in practical exercises will be evaluated against learning outcomes where delegates will be required to demonstrate various rigging tasks.
