The aim of this course is to provide learners with a basic knowledge and understanding of the operation of accumulators. The course will cover theoretical principles and basic practical application.

- Properties of Air and Nitrogen
- Nitrogen Charging / Pressure Testing Equipment
- Accumulator types and Operating Principles:
- Bladder
- Diaphragm
- Piston
- Safety Valves
- Monitoring Equipment
- Charging / Pressure Testing Procedures
- Relevant Legislation and Control of Work
- Practical Session:
- Connect up and carry out low pressure leak testing
- Carry out accumulator charging
- Identify unserviceable components / equipment
Target Audience:
This training programme has been developed to meet the needs of those involved in the use of accumulators. It may also be of benefit to those embarking on service, maintenance and management of Hydraulic Systems as well as Mechanical Apprentices, Technical Representatives and Project Engineers.
Certification
Upon successful course completion, the delegate will receive an EnerMech certificate.

Recommended 3 yearly refresher
