Rigging Loft Management - Lifting Gear Inspection
This course is aimed at personnel responsible for the issuing and control of lifting equipment from a Rigging Loft onboard an offshore installation, or a shore based workplace. It aims to provide training in the appropriate rigging loft management systems and the in-use inspection requirements of lifting equipment.
Description
Training Content
Familiarisation with the various lifting equipment usually found in a Rigging Loft, the way the equipment must be stored and issued (Tee card system), inspections that must be carried out before the equipment is used, and how the equipment must be inspected and returned to the Rigging Loft after use.
Handout material covers LOLER 98 and example inspection forms and certificates for all equipment generally found in a Rigging Loft.

- Quarantine requirements and systems
- Critical areas for inspection
